Returns Policy

We hope you love your purchases from Macintyres of Edinburgh, but we understand there may be occasions where you would like to return your item for an exchange or refund.

 

We offer a 30 Day Money Back Guarantee for online purchases* (please note exceptions below). We do not offer refunds for items purchased in store. 

 

* Exceptions - Personalised, special order items, pierced jewellery or items made up to a customer's specification cannot be returned, in accordance with the distance selling regulations.   Your statutory rights are unaffected.

 

Items must be unused, be in pristine condition and returned with the original presentation box.  Watch guarantees, instruction booklets and diamond certificates must also be returned.

 

Items that develop a manufacturing fault within 12 months of purchase will be repaired or replaced after examination by our quality control department and a manufacturing fault has been confirmed.

 

Cancelling your order

If you wish to cancel an order before it has been dispatched, please phone or email us as soon as possible.


Returns by post 

 A returns address label is provided with all orders for your convenience.

We recommend for your own protection returning items by Royal Mail Special or Recorded Delivery depending on the value of the item. This ensures proof of delivery and insurance on the goods while in transit. Macintyres of Edinburgh cannot accept any responsibility for returned items that have not been sent using the above delivery methods.

 

This postage cost is only refundable if the products are faulty.

 

PLEASE NOTE - Do not under any circumstances mention words on the outside of the package that highlight the fact it contains jewellery, for example, Macintyres Jewellers, etc.

 

It may increase the chances of your parcel going missing in the post.

You can exchange or obtain a refund for your online purchase in-store.

 Please bring your item with the original presentation box and delivery note into our showroom.

 

Personalised, special order items and earrings cannot be returned unless faulty.

 

We will process a refund, credit note or exchange provided the goods are unused, in pristine condition and returned with the original presentation box.  Watch guarantees, instruction booklets and diamond certificates must also be returned.

 

If you require a refund, please bring with you the credit or debit card used to place the order.

 

If you received the item as a gift, you will be reimbursed with a credit note.
