Valuations

All purchases over £250 automatically include a standard valuation of the item’s current NRV (New Replacement Value) for insurance purposes.

As members of the Guild of Valuers and Jewellers, we also provide a more comprehensive valuation service for your existing jewellery. Up to date valuations are vital in ensuring your insurance cover is sufficient and you are not under-insured in the event of a claim.

Our Guild Valuations provide an expert description, valuation and digital image of each item. In addition to being presented in a beautiful portfolio of all your jewellery, these are stored on a secure e-register ™ database which is accessible only by you and your insurance company. These are invaluable in proving ownership and will give you complete peace of mind.

You can leave your valuables with us for cleaning and valuation or you can attend one of our regular Valuation Days in our Edinburgh Showroom. You will have the chance to discuss your jewellery with our valuer and learn more about the history of your pieces, as well as watching the whole valuation process. (N.b. appointments required).
